When a trade creates value someone else would capture, Metera routes it back to you.

Where a rebate comes from

Some trades move a pool enough that a searcher can profit by trading right after them. When the pool and the route make that opportunity real, the value a bot would have taken can be returned to the trader instead of left on the table.

What it is not

Rebates depend on the trade, the pool and the moment. Many trades produce none. A rebate is never promised, and it is not income: Metera does not decide what to trade to create one.
